Email from your domain.
Out of the box, Noli emails come from no-reply@heynoli.ai. Connect your own domain and they come from you instead - better recognised, better delivered, and yours if you ever leave.
Connect the domain
- Enter the domain in Settings → Email
Use the domain you actually want to send from, not the address.
- Add the DNS records Noli shows you
A small set of records that prove the domain is yours and let receiving servers authenticate your mail. Add them at your DNS provider exactly as displayed.
- Wait for verification
Noli re-checks every fifteen minutes. DNS propagation is usually minutes but can take hours - there is nothing to do but wait.
- Set your From address
Once verified, choose the address on that domain that emails go out from.
Until it verifies, nothing changes
The custom From address is gated on verification. While the domain is pending, emails keep going out from the default sender. This is deliberate - sending from an unauthenticated domain is a fast way to land in spam and damage the domain's reputation for years.
So if your emails still say no-reply@heynoli.ai, the domain has not verified yet. Check the records rather than the setting.
Use the same domain as your portal
If your customer portal already lives on something like loyalty.yourbrand.com, use that same domain for email. The portal step registers it, so there is less DNS work, and customers see one consistent domain across the portal, the emails and the links inside them.
What sends from this address
- Lifecycle emails - welcome on sign-up, points earned on an order, tier upgrades, reward redemption confirmations, and a nudge an hour after an order for customers who have not joined yet. Each one can be switched off individually.
- Automations - any send email step. See Automations.
- Campaigns - unless you route them through Klaviyo instead, in which case they use your Klaviyo sender. See Klaviyo.
Every template can be rewritten, and the visual editor is per event. Leave one empty and Noli falls back to the default copy in the customer's language.
